Well, I only have about 10 minutes before I have to go back to get the next draw. But, I wanted to fill you in on what I did for the past hour. I went to pick up the actual results from my first test and then took them to Dr. Grant's office. I wanted to know just how significant the "a little high" was. His nurse, Mary, was able to talk to me about them. The level was supposed to be under 140 and mine was 161. She said she thought it was probably high enough that my 3-hour probably would come back abnormal.
So, she went ahead and went to get me a glucometer and information on it. As she was showing me how to use it, we decided to just go ahead and take my blood sugar. It was an hour and a half after finished my drink. At 1 hour, my levels should have been under 180. At 2 hours it should be under 155 and at 3 hours it should be under 140. My level? After an hour and a half? 132! So, it looks like this test should come back pretty good! We will still have to wait for the official results, though.
Well, 6 minutes left. I am off for draw #3...a little more optimistic this time. (By the way, my queasiness is finally starting to improve!)

Good! Glad to hear it! After I started checking my levels, it was almost always high at 1 hour, but perfectly normal at 2 hours. Maybe you're like that - just takes you a smidge longer to cope with the sugar.
