100 Things About Me for My 100th Post

Wow! I can't believe I have posted 99 other posts already! This feels like such an accomplishment. Anyway, as I have seen so many others do, I am going to post 100 things about myself. Here it goes...
1. My first name is Tiffany
2. My middle name is Dawn
3. I never liked my middle name when I was little because it sounded like a boy name.
4. Now, I really like my middle name.
5. I was born in Canton, Ohio
6. I moved to Irving, Texas when I was in kindergarten.
7. I have lived in 16 different homes (if you count all of my dorm rooms separately).
8. I have 2 brothers and one sister.
6. I have 2 brother-in-laws and 3 sister-in-laws (my husband has one sister who is married).
7. I have 5 nephews and 5 nieces.
8. I played tennis in high school.
9. I sang in choirs starting in the 4th grade. (But I think I was born singing)
10. I was in show choir for two years in high school. (Andrew still gives me a hard time about it)
11. I graduated as salutatorian of my high school class.
12. I went to college at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma.
13. My husband was the first guy I met on campus (if you don't count my admissions counselor).
14. I did not start dating Andrew until the second semester of our freshman year.
15. We both sang in Maranatha/New Reign- a singing group that toured and recruited for the school. (We changed the name after the first year I was in the group.)
16. I had 5 different room mates in college before I moved into an apartment off campus by myself.
17. I worked in an Emergency Room for 2 years while I was in college.
18. I got engaged on August 31, 2001 at Andrew's cousin's rehearsal dinner.
19. My husband thinks I'm beautiful. (He told me to say that. 19 is his favorite number.)
20. I got married on July 27, 2002.
21. We went to Barrier Bay Resort in Manitoba, Canada for our honeymoon.
22. I came home from my honeymoon to a new townhouse (for me) in a town I had never lived in, and where I did not know anyone except my husband's family- scary!
23. I had a melt-down after about a month of living in Columbia. (Short story...I was going for a job interview and had just bought a new dress suit for it. I ran into a problem. I did not have any shoes to wear with it, or even know what color to wear with it. I then realized, that I did not even know who to ask for advice about what shoes to wear with my new suit! We were on our way out of the parking lot on our way to Wednesday night church when I burst into tears. Andrew looked at me like a deer caught in headlights while I explained, through sobs, what was wrong with me. He immediately changed directions, picked up the cell phone, called his sister and told her we were coming over. After I calmed down, we decided she did not have shoes that would work, that I would just wear something else nice that I already had and take that dress suit back. Crisis averted- and I was indebted to Brook forever! End of the not so short story.)
24. I have had 9 jobs since being married- whew!
25. I started PT school in 2003 without really knowing what a PT does- a definite God thing!
26. We bought our first home in June 2003.
27. We worked on fixing up our house while I was in gross anatomy for PT school- talk about a strange mixture of smells!
28. We moved in to our house the day before our 1 year anniversary.
29. My last gross anatomy test was the day after our 1st anniversary. (Needless to say, I did not have much time to study for that test. I passed, though!)
30. I graduated from PT school in 2006.
31. I was way overpaid for my first job out of school.
32. My first job was not all that it had been cracked up to be. Why didn't I listen to my instincts? Refer to point 31. There goes that greed again.
33. I got my cat, Lego, for my birthday in 2003. It was a total surprise! He thinks he is a dog.
34. I did not like him at times because he would jump up on my leg and hang on with his claws! That is when we started threatening to take him to the back door of The Great Wall (a local Chinese buffet).
35. I love him now.
36. We got Millie, Andrew's cat, the following year. Millie thinks she is bigger than she is!
37. We found out I was pregnant with our first child in September, 2006.
38. We found out I had complications with a divided uterus after a few weeks.
39. I went into the hospital at the end of January at 25 weeks because the amniotic sac had ruptured.
40. I was put on bed rest (supposedly until 34 weeks) to allow our daughter to grow and keep me from going into labor.
41. I lived in the hospital for 6 weeks. Andrew stayed there with me.
42. I went into labor the evening of March 10, 2007.
43. Our daughter, Sydney Danielle, was born at 1:56 in the morning on March 11, 2007.
44. While she did well at first, she was very sick and only lived 16 1/2 hours.
45. I am so thankful that I got to hold her!
46. I still remember how she felt in my arms- all 2 lb, 12 oz of her.
47. That was the best and worst day of my life.
48. I don't remember a lot about that week because I was on pain medication after my C-section.
49. I understand now why people get addicted to pain medication after a horrible event.
50. I also understand why people do/say crazy things after something traumatic.
51. While we did not actually plan to do it, we said we would be fine with driving off a cliff.
52. My biggest fear has always been pain.
53. Before we lost Sydney, I really did not want to die.
54. Now, while I am not seeking death, I am not so opposed to it. I mean, I don't want to leave my family and friends here, but it would mean I get to see Sydney! (Don't go calling a psych ward on me. I am just being honest.)
55. I used to be afraid of thunder storms, but I am not any more.
56. We have finally gotten our house fixed up where we want it to be.
57. I recently started staying home a couple of days a week.
58. I also recently discovered that I like being home a few days a week.

OK, I was starting with a chronological theme, but I ran out of things way too early. So, I am going to start just throwing out things as I think of them in no particular order. Here it goes...

59. I started blogging in April 2007 as a way to get out some of my feelings and to keep up with friends and family.
60. I actually have a candidate that I like in this presidential election- Ron Paul. If you don't know much about him, you should at least read his positions page, here. Even if you don't want to vote for him, he has some great ideas. Something to think about.
61. I hate cleaning!
62. I love having a clean house. (Hint: I would love a free maid service for a year for a present some time)
63. Hello, my name is Tiffany, and I am a pack rat!
64. I am now a recovering pack rat.
65. I am a wuss! I mean it! In every sense of the word. I hate pain and I am weak. There you have it!
66. I love Italian food!
67. When I was pregnant, I craved Italian foods. (Just like my mom. But I didn't know that until after I stated that I was craving Italian foods.)
68. I am addicted to chips and salsa. I craved it while pregnant, but then again, I always crave it!
69. I enjoy reading Christian romance novels. I admit it. I just like that it has principals that I believe in and they always have a happy, feel-good ending.
70. I also like romantic comedies- they are happy endings and you don't have to think about it too much.
71. I love the Lord of the Rings trilogy. (not as much as Andrew, but then again, he is probably just under Peter Jackson and Christopher Lee on that account)
72. I like to scrapbook, but I don't do it too often because it is such a hassle to get everything out.
73. I want to work on scrapbooking more this year.
74. I am an avid procrastinator. Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? Because tomorrow has everything from yesterday!
75. I could (and I am embarrassed to admit, have on occasion) spend all day on the internet looking at blogs.
76. I love learning new things about blogging.
77. I would like to eventually make some money by blogging. I mean, I spend so much time on it, I might as well make a little money at it.
78. I don't want to put ads on my blog, though. I have too many other things on my sidebars.
79. I am very self-conscious of what other people think of me.
80. I don't have a lot of confidence in what I do until it is affirmed by someone else. I know, I know, I am a child of God. He affirms me. But, I still struggle with it.
81. I have torn feelings about my cats. I love my cats and enjoy having them around, but I don't like all of the hair. It is embarrassing when someone comes over and there is hair everywhere. But, I just can't stay on top of it!
82. I love the smell of coffee brewing, but I can't stand the after-taste.
83. Cinnamon flavored gum makes me burp.
84. I love cheese! I eat it on all kinds of things: burgers, hot dogs, crackers, nachos, veggies...
85. I love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter.
86. I am hypersensitive to cold. When I get too cold (like in a cold stream or walking when it is cold and windy), I get welts and start to itch.
87. I am a really light sleeper!
88.I love candles, but always forget to light them (hence my large collection).
89. I have a ton of cookbooks because I aspire to cook dinner every night. (not just pizzas or hamburger helper, but real home-cooked food.)
90. I hardly ever crack open my cookbooks. :-(
91. Andrew says a am a pretty good cook, though. And I quote, "You sling a mean crockpot."
92. I used to hate the color pink (it is a long story starting with pink tinted glasses), but now am starting to like it.
93. I like the colors green, yellow, and purple (together or separately).
94. I never liked wearing red because it made me feel like everyone was looking at me. But, I am starting to be a little more lenient.
95. My cats make me laugh...a lot!
96. My husband makes me laugh a lot!
97. I am very blessed to be married to Andrew!
98. I don't know how I would have made it through the past year without him.
99. I am totally and completely in love with him!
100. I am blessed to be a baptized, believing, struggling, but still striving, child of an amazing God!

Wow! I did it! If you made it through that list, I am very impressed! Thanks for sticking with me. Please make a comment even if it is just to say you read it. I would like to know who I just revealed so much about myself to. Really, please comment.

If you don't know how, it is simple...just click on the word comment under this post. When your mouse goes over it, there should be a line under it. When you click, a page will load that shows all of the comments to the left and a box on the right for you to type in. Just type whatever you want in it. Then, scroll down more. You can sign in with a user name if you are signed up. You can also choose a nickname. This is where you just put in your name. You don't have to give any more information than that. No email, no phone number, no SSN, no signing up at all. Then, you just click publish. That is all! So, please comment! I am begging. I know there are people who read and don't comment. Even if you don't comment any more, please let me know this one time. I mean, it is my 100th post after all!

How could someone read that precious list and not comment!!! Here's hoping that you get absolutely flooded with comments!

Wow~ what an amazing story that you have. You daughter, though only here for a day, was beautiful-absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing her with us.

And thanks for popping over to my site. Back at you sister- you also have quite a way with words.

I'm hosting a Q&A session this week all about how to write a book and get published if you are interested.
Sweet Blessings!

This was the post I needed to read as a new reader of yours. It really gave me a chance to "catch-up" on your life.

It was fun to see some of the things we have in common too.

Tiff, you're in my RSS feed so I read every single blog. Learned a lot about you, too, this time.

Congratulations on your 100th post. I don't think I'm far behind, but I haven't checked lately. I'm glad you were able to give us a synopsis of Tiffany. :-)

I lost interst after no. 2, but I read it anyway. What's your name again?

Congrats on 100! I read your blog everytime on get on the net. You never say anything about me. For instance, Cameron arrives, everybody's fine: Brook, baby, Gavin. Me?? ...nothing. I quit!!!
Seriously, Brook and I really can't thank you enough for your help this week. (added bonus for you, Gavin probably made both you & Andy sick)

Cam says, "Hi, Aunt Tiff!" (translated from the gas rumblings to English dictionary--he got a cowlick and some serious gastro-intestinal diffulties from his Mom & Uncle Andy)

Wow! I don't think I could come up with 100 things about myself.

I played tennis in high school, too! And I love cheese! And I haven't done any scrapbooking in months, because I don't want to get the stuff out! We should be friend. :)

It definitely was not a chore reading your list of 100. You are a special, loved child of God, and every bit of you is interesting!!

I had no idea you were the salutatorian of your class (I think I misspelled that, and you probably noticed)! :)

Thank you for sharing.

I will be reading your blog more often for awhile now--since it's
11:30 and Cam thinks it's daytime and I'm watching Andy Griffith. I don't even like Andy Griffith! Anyway, I agree with Dad- You are a wonderful addition to our family and we all love you very much!!

Hi there!

You stopped by my blog last week --I think to help me with my overwhelming collection of photographs (which I've done nothing with --- ahhh, busy life!) and I'm finally getting over here to yours.

Please, PLEASE, accept my deepest mommy-felt condolences on the loss of your darling girl. Your bravery to discuss your pain and sorrow so openly brings tears to my eyes.

I love the idea of 100 Facts for a 100th post...I'm coming up on mine. Perhaps I'll adopt it -- linking back to yours, of course. ;)

I'll stop by again soon! Take care!

Wow sis...Great blog!!
Learned a couple of things about you in your list of 100 things. I love chips and salsa also...funny though...we haven't eaten much of it when I visit...I now know you are just keeping it ALL for yourself!! :-)
You made me cry with all the stuff about dear Sydney...
Lady Bugs make us think about you all also.
GOD IS GOOD...through the good and the tough times...He is still there. Even when we don't understand. Looking forward to the time when we get to stand in His presence and no longer have to try to understand :-)

Hope to see you soon!

Hi,

I found you from a link on another blog.

I just wanted to say I'm so sorry about the loss of your precious baby girl. What a little treasure she was.

I love ladybugs, too.

I loved reading your 100 things.

Regarding what you said about driving off a cliff after your daughter died - been there. My Hubby and I felt EXACTLY the same way when our first daughter died. We told the Lord He could come get us anytime. We just wanted to be reunited with our little girl.
