Have you heard anything about the satellite that was shot down yesterday? I really don't keep up with what is going on in the world as much as I should. I want to be one of those informed people, but I hate watching the news! I don't read the newspaper. But, I think I can spare a little time each week to check out the Drudge Report online. And that is what I did this morning.
I am just intrigued by the entire satellite situation. You can read about it here and here. What is amazing to me? Among other things, it took three minutes for the missile to reach the satellite! It collided at a combined speed of 22,000 mph, 130 miles above the Pacific Ocean! It really puts into perspective how big this world really is!
You might not be interested in this, but I was!

You're funny.
I think it's interesting, too. Of course, James and I spent a couple of hours in a hotel completely riveted by a documentary of the canal system of Venice and the natural "flushing" of the canals by the tides, and the erosion of the land, and stuff. Sure, we had HBO, but why watch a good movie when there's a weird documentary on?
It WAS fascinating, wasn't it?!?

Of course this kind of stuff is really interesting to us science nerds. I keep telling Nancy that everything boils down to a mathematical formula. Boy, this one would be a dandy!

Tiffany where is Hallsville? I live near Kansas City and have never heard of this town! Did you know it was a good ole Missouri boy who shot this satellite down? Yup--a boy from Raytown, MO done made us proud! Thanks for coming over to my place! Have a great weekend.
Oh yes, I love information like that. I didn't hear about this one. I'm like you, would like to know what's going on, but without watching the news. :)
